We learned the signs of a bot from real bot traffic, and we keep them to ourselves. If we published them, the people who build bots would read them and build around them.
How it works
1. Your forms check every sign-up
A bot that fills in a form is thanked like anybody else, given no discount code and quietly dropped. An address is checked down to whether its mailbox exists before it is ever emailed, and a phone number proves itself with a code.
2. A real person is let through
An order, a Shopify tag, being seen browsing your store, or somebody on your team choosing This is a person. Any one of them, and that person is reachable again, as their consent allows.
3. Delete the bots for good
When you are ready, the store’s owner deletes a whole segment of bots at once. Never let these addresses back keeps every address only they used out of your store for good.
