Pricing

One plan, $29 a month. You pay for what you send.

The first 25,000 emails each month are included in the $29 plan. Past that you pay by the thousand, and the price drops the more you send. Your list is not your bill: nobody here counts your profiles, and you are never asked to “suppress” or delete people to save money. You pay for what you send, not for who you keep.

What your store would pay

Put your own numbers in.

Every figure here is one you can change. Nothing is hidden behind a sales call, and nothing below is a price we will quote you differently.

Email

The ones with consent and a confirmed address. It is a smaller number than the total profile count you may be used to, because it leaves out everyone unconfirmed or unsubscribed.

Campaigns and automations together. Four is our working assumption, not a measurement — change it to what you actually do.

Text messages

To US and Canadian numbers. Leave it at zero if you are only here for email — text messages are still being built.

A text is counted in parts of about 160 characters — or about 70 if it carries an emoji, which is why one emoji can double what a message costs. Two is typical for a marketing text.

Imported addresses

Imported addresses your store has never seen an order from are held until they are checked. One-time, not monthly — and addresses that arrive through your own signup forms are never counted here.

Estimated this month

$29.00

An estimate, built from the figures you entered. Your real bill is metered: we count what actually went out, and you pay for that.

The first 25,000 emails every month are included in the $29 plan. After that each band is charged at its own rate, so the bill is exactly linear inside a band and one campaign more never costs you a step change.

The bands

The rate falls as you send more, and we will say why.

A large store does not cost us less per email. The rate falls at volume because we take less margin there — that is a choice we made, not a cost we discovered, and you should hear it from us rather than work it out.

Each band is charged at its own rate, so inside a band the bill is exactly linear and one campaign more never costs you a step change. There is no plan to outgrow and no upgrade to time. The $29 is not derived from what it costs us to send you 25,000 emails — at that volume the sending costs a few dollars. It is what a supported account is worth, and we would rather say so than dress it up as arithmetic.
What is metered

Four things, and nothing else.

Your bill carries exactly the lines you control. Fixed costs are ours; usage is yours.

Emails you send

$0.8230 down to $0.6090 per 1,000

One email to one person is one unit, counted when it goes out. Campaigns, automations and one-off sends all count the same, because they cost the same. A refusal costs nothing: if consent or a do-not-email record stops a send, no email goes out and nothing is counted.

Text messages to the US and Canada

$0.0183 per message part

Billed from the first message you send, with no minimum, nothing prepaid and nothing that expires. Text messages are a meter on the plan you already have, not a second product to buy — and they are still being built, so today this line is zero for everybody.

One rate, all in. The carrier fee on every message is inside it, and so are replies from your customers and our own answers to STOP and HELP. We do not pass a carrier fee through as a separate line you cannot act on, and a message that never reaches a handset is not billed.

Text messages to other countries

Not priced yet

A meter of its own, and one we will not put a number against until we have one we can stand behind. Nothing outside the US and Canada is billed at the rate above.

Imported addresses that need checking

$0.0080 per address

When you import a list, any address your store has never seen an order from, and that nothing else vouches for, is held until it is checked — it cannot be mailed before then. The check is one-time, at cost, from the first address; the count and the price are on the button before you press it, and rows left unchecked stay held rather than being lost.

Addresses that arrive through your own signup forms are never counted here. We check every one of them, at our expense, with no allowance and no ceiling. That check is what keeps dead addresses out of your sending, so charging you for it would be charging you for a control that exists for our benefit as much as yours.

What we absorb

Fixed costs are ours.

None of the following will ever appear on your bill, at any volume.

The rest of it

Things you would otherwise have to ask.

Billed monthly, through Shopify. Your subscription and your usage arrive on your Shopify invoice, in one place, with the meters named. There is no annual plan and no annual discount — we would rather not price a year of a product you are still deciding about.Your list size is not a price. Keeping a profile you never email costs you nothing here, so there is no month where tidying your list is what saves you money.Text-message rates can move, and email’s cannot. Part of every text rate is a carrier fee that is not ours to set, and those reprice from time to time. If ours has to change we will tell you in writing at least 30 days before it does. Email is derived from costs we control and carries no such clause.Who can use it. Any business whose products are legal where they are sold, excluding adult content, hate speech, firearms and ammunition. Email is open to everyone else — CBD, hemp and alcohol included. Text messages are not: the wireless carriers refuse whole categories of business, and a store that sells or promotes any of them cannot be given a text-message number. Those categories are adult content; hate speech; firearms, ammunition and weapons; tobacco, vaping, e-cigarette and nicotine products; cannabis, CBD and hemp products, in any form — including where your state has made them legal; illegal drugs; payday loans, debt collection and debt relief; gambling, sweepstakes and contests; cryptocurrency and digital assets; prescription pharmaceuticals. The Text Message Policy says why, and when we ask.Sending more than three million emails a month? Talk to us — at that size it is worth a conversation rather than a table.
