Every email you held back, and everything your store can trace to a profile
Refusals is the record of every email stopped before it reached somebody, and the reason each one carried. Metrics is the catalog of what your store, your storefront and your own sending have recorded against a profile. Both are counted on your store’s clock.
A refusal is a check doing its job
No consent, an address that must never be mailed again, somebody you paused. Each one is written down with its reason and the person it was for, and an empty refusals screen is the best news the screen can carry.
One clock, and it is your store’s
Days, weeks and months are counted in the time zone your store keeps in Shopify. Two screens cannot name different days for the same event, and nobody has to hold two clocks in their head.
The numbers say what they do not know
Opens are directional, because a mailbox can open mail on a person’s behalf — and the screen says so, beside the number. A figure that has never been worked out reads as such rather than as a zero.
How it works
1. Read what was held back
How many, which reason each one carried, and what share of the total it was.
2. Narrow it to one reason
The chart and the list below it follow, while the breakdown above stays whole — so you keep the map while you read the detail.
3. Open a metric
Its chart by day, week or month, and underneath it every occurrence, with both when it happened and when it reached us.
